PhD Thesis Writing Support
Structured help turning your research into a thesis you can defend — chapter by chapter, at your pace.

By the time most scholars start the thesis itself, the hard research is done. The experiments have run, the survey is in, the papers are out or under review. What’s left feels like it should be the easy part, and it rarely is. Turning three or four years of notes, results and half-drafted chapters into one coherent argument of 150 to 300 pages is a different skill from doing the research, and one that PhD programmes typically cover only briefly.
This service is for scholars who have the research and need help shaping it into a thesis: deciding what goes in which chapter, making the chapters speak to each other, getting the literature review to argue rather than list, and presenting results so an examiner can follow them. We work chapter by chapter, alongside your supervisor’s guidance rather than in place of it.
One principle shapes all of this work. You remain the author of your thesis. The research, the data, the analysis and the argument are yours. We help you structure, review, edit and strengthen what you have written, and we explain every change so that you can defend it. Being able to explain your thesis line by line is exactly what the viva, and your university’s academic integrity rules, expect.
Scope
What’s included
Each stage can be taken on its own. Some scholars want help only with the chapter plan; others bring a full draft that needs a structural review. We scope only what you actually need.
Thesis architecture and chapter plan
A working outline built from your objectives and results: what each chapter must establish, where each paper or experiment belongs, and how the chapters link back to your research questions.
Chapter development reviews
You draft; a subject-matched reviewer reads each chapter for argument, flow, gaps and evidence, and returns detailed comments plus suggested restructuring. You revise, and we review again.
Literature review and framing
Help reorganising your review by theme and argument, so that it leads to the gap your work fills, with references checked against the original sources.
Results and discussion presentation
Advice on tables, figures and the order of findings, and a review of whether your discussion interprets the results against the literature rather than repeating them.
Introduction, conclusion and abstract
Review of the chapters examiners read first and last: whether the contribution is stated clearly, the limitations are clearly acknowledged, and the abstract matches what the thesis actually shows.
Integration, language and format pass
A final pass across the whole thesis for consistency of terms, numbering and cross-references, language, and your university’s prescribed format, with a similarity report.
Quality
How quality is verified
These are the checks every piece of work goes through before it reaches you.
Reviewer from your discipline
Chapters are read by someone who holds a PhD or publishes in your broad field, so comments address the substance of the argument and not just the grammar.
Similarity report with every draft
Each chapter we return comes with a full similarity report from a standard checker, so you can see the figure yourself before your university runs its own check.
References checked against sources
We check that cited works exist, that details are correct, and that the source says what your sentence claims it says. Mismatched citations are one of the first things examiners notice.
Comments you can act on
Every comment explains what the problem is and why it matters. Suggested edits come as tracked changes, never silently merged, so you decide what stays.
Consistency check across chapters
We check that objectives stated in Chapter 1 are the ones answered in the conclusion, that terminology and abbreviations are used the same way throughout, and that numbers match between text, tables and figures.
Revision rounds written into scope
The number of review rounds per chapter is stated in your written scope before you pay anything, so you know exactly what is covered.
Time
Realistic timelines
A thesis is written over months, not weeks, and much of that time is you drafting and your supervisor responding. The figures below are for our part of the work on a typical chapter of 30–50 pages.
| Stage | Typical time | What it depends on |
|---|---|---|
| Thesis architecture and chapter plan | 1–2 weeks | How settled your objectives and results are |
| Review of one chapter draft | 7–10 working days per round | Chapter length and how much restructuring it needs |
| Your revision after review | Usually 1–3 weeks | You, and your other commitments |
| Supervisor review of each chapter | Varies widely | Your supervisor’s schedule |
| Integration, language and format pass | 2–3 weeks for a full thesis | Length, and whether the format is already close |
| Whole thesis, draft to submission-ready | Typically 4–9 months | Mostly on how complete the research is when we start |
Your university’s rules
Before you plan the final push
The steps between “draft finished” and “thesis accepted” are set by your university, and they take longer than most scholars budget for.
What the UGC 2022 regulations require
Under the UGC’s 2022 PhD regulations, you present your work in a pre-submission seminar before your Research Advisory Committee, open to faculty and other scholars, before the thesis is submitted. Your thesis must also carry an undertaking that it is your original work, and the university checks it for similarity using software before accepting it. Many universities also ask for a synopsis some weeks before the thesis itself. Each of these steps has its own date, and each can send you back to revise.
Similarity limits
The UGC’s 2018 regulations on academic integrity treat similarity up to 10% as minor, with higher bands attracting penalties, and they exclude items such as references, quoted material with attribution and standard formulae from the count. Many universities set their own limit within that framework, and some are stricter. Our guide to plagiarism limits for PhD theses in India explains how the levels work and how to read a report. Check your own university’s current rules too, because they differ.
Format
Universities prescribe page size, margins, font, preliminary pages and the order of chapters, and the thesis office will return a thesis that doesn’t follow them. If your draft is already written and only needs a language and format pass, our thesis editing and proofreading service is the better fit and costs less.
Plan backwards from the deadline
If you have a maximum-duration date, count back from it: university processing, pre-submission seminar, synopsis, supervisor’s final read, then your writing time. Our PhD timeline guide walks through the milestones year by year. If the arithmetic looks tight, tell us at the consultation. An early conversation leaves the most room to plan.
Pricing
How pricing works
There is no rate card, because a thesis with complete results and rough chapters is a very different job from one with a folder of papers and no plan. We look at your objectives, results and any drafts, and give you a fixed quote for the stages you choose, agreed in writing before any work begins.
Most scholars take the work chapter by chapter and pay as each stage is delivered. You commit one stage at a time, and you can stop after any stage.
What the quote depends on
- How many chapters need review, and their length
- How complete your results and drafts are now
- Which stages from the list above you need
- Subject area and how specialised the reviewer needs to be
- Your submission deadline, if it compresses our schedule
Every quote includes
- A written scope listing exactly what will be delivered
- A fixed price agreed before any payment
- Payment in stages, tied to delivery
- Revision rounds stated in the scope

FAQ
Frequently asked questions
Will you write my thesis for me?
You remain the author. The research, data and argument are yours, in your own words, and you need to be able to defend them. We review, restructure, edit and advise on the drafts you write. Universities treat a thesis written by someone else as misconduct that can put the degree at risk.
Will my supervisor know I’ve had help?
That is your decision, but we’d encourage you to tell them. Editorial and structural review is ordinary academic practice, and many supervisors welcome it because it means they read cleaner drafts. Some universities also ask you to acknowledge editorial help in the thesis. Because the writing is yours throughout, acknowledging the help is straightforward.
Is this ethical?
Research support is ethical when the intellectual work remains yours and the help is the kind a good colleague or editor might give: feedback, structure, language, checking. It stops being ethical when someone else produces the content. Our work is limited to the feedback and editing side, as set out in our ethics policy.
Can you guarantee my thesis will be accepted, or pass the similarity check?
Acceptance is decided by your university and your examiners. On similarity, we give you a full report with every draft so you can see the figure yourself. Scores depend on the checker and its settings, so a specific number can’t be fixed in advance.
My results are incomplete. Can you still help?
We can help you plan the thesis around the results you will have, and review chapters that don’t depend on them, such as the literature review and methodology. The remaining results come from your own research, and we give you a clear view of when the thesis is ready to submit.
What if I’m not happy with a chapter review?
Tell us specifically what fell short. If the review missed something within the agreed scope, we redo it at no charge. If you need a different reviewer, we’ll assign one. Staged payment means you pay as each stage is delivered.
Is my thesis kept confidential?
Yes. Your chapters are seen only by the reviewer assigned to your work, are used only for your project, and are deleted on request once the engagement ends. We’re happy to sign a non-disclosure agreement.
Do you use AI tools to write or rewrite my text?
Your thesis should be in your own words, and many universities now look for machine-generated text. Our reviewers comment and suggest, and the writing stays yours. If you have used AI tools in drafting, tell us at the start so we can talk about what your university’s rules allow.
